DiceRealms is our entry into the 2022 GMTK Jam.

Inspired by games like Inscryption and Slay the Spire, we wanted to create a similar experience where instead of a deck of cards, the player is modifying the faces on a set of dice.

We had many, many ideas for where to take this concept. Those concepts which never made it into the prototype include:

• Rolling multiple of the same face giving you a stronger ability
• Stores where you can upgrade your dice types allowing more(or less) faces.
• Experimentation focused: Seeing which combination of faces create new abilities.
• Bosses
• Status Effects
• Multiple Actions on the same turn, and exhausting dice for the next turn.
• Dice faces that cause immediate effects (Like rolling another die, or doubling a die of the same color)
• And so much more.

In the end, we certainly did not convey our design through the prototype. But we are incredibly proud of what we've made nonetheless, and we hope you will all enjoy giving it a try!
